Riga Youth Center (RYC)

This is the first youth center for youth organizations in Riga. Youth center is created by young people themselves that will be as home for Riga’s youth organizations. Youth center already is a work place and home for NGO-  Club “House”, YMCA/YWCA of Latvia (IMKA Latvija), NGO “RED” and Children Forum of Latvia. These organizations will offer to aquire new knowledge and skills that will inspire young people to express new ideas and implement them. Young people who will visit the Youth center will be able to choose whether to participate in existing organizations or create new ones.

Open- air museum

Latvian Ethnographic Open-air museum is one of the eldest outdoor museums in Europe. It was founded in Riga in 1924. It’s situated in the coasts of Juglas lake and occupies 87, 66 he (215 acres) territory of pine tree forest. Here you can visit 118 ancient buildings from all historical regions of Latvia dated from 17th century to 1930. To furnish the buildings more than 4000 ethnographical items have been used. The collection altogether consists of 150 000 items.Latvian Ethnographic Open-air museum is a monument of Latvian architecture and lifestyle. Museum is a place where Latvian craft workers works, Latvian traditional festivals are held and exhibitions of traditional art are deployed.

Children and youth center ‘Daugmale” gives different opportunities for young people to spend their free time usefuly. Different activities an classes in visual and applied arts, dance, theater, sport, music, youth interest clubs,  language lessons and more..
